Úner, 'Noman', was the man Ancalimë said she would 'prefer above all others' when Hallacar proposed her after wooing her under pseudonym Mámandil.[1] Ancalimë meant that she would not like to marry any man.
Etymologies
The elements of the name are ú-, a negative prefix,[2] and nér "man".[3]
