-nya is a pronominal Quenya suffix, 1st person singular possessive, "my"[source?]} (e.g. tatanya = "my father").[1] This ending seems to prefer i as its connecting vowel where one its needed, cf. Anarinya "my sun",[2] so also in hildinyar.[source?]
