The main article for this subject is located at Túrin Turambar.

In Nargothrond Túrin hid his name, calling himself Agarwaen, son of Úmarth ("Bloodstained, son of Ill-fate").[1][2] Finduilas did not believe that Agarwaen was his name nor that it fit him, so she called him Thurin, the Secret.[3]
