Anairë (Q, pron. [aˈna͡ɪre]) was the wife of Fingolfin. Little is known about her (even whether or not she was Noldorin), except that she did not leave Aman and was friends with Eärwen, Finarfin's wife. They had four children, namely Fingon, Turgon, Aredhel, and Argon.[1] She presumably still resides in Aman.

Anairë does not appear in The Silmarillion and Fingolfin is given three children but no wife in the genealogy. She is only mentioned in The History of Middle-earth.

The name Anairë means Holiest in Quenya. Airë="holy",[2] An-=superlative prefix. As she never came to Middle-earth, she has no Sindarin name.
