Angerthas Daeron (S. 'Daeron's Runes') was an extension of the Certhas Daeronwhich was used by the Elves to represent Sindarin. Angerthas Moria was the other classical form used by the Dwarves.

Appendix E does not make clear who and when devised the script called "Angerthas Daeron".

Robert Foster in The Complete Guide to Middle-earth identifies "Angerthas Daeron" with the script of the Noldor of Eregion, from which the Dwarves created Angerthas Moria.

Jim Allan in An Introduction to Elvish interprets it that Angerthas Daeron was a modification by Daeron on his alphabet in the First Age, and uses the original term "Angerthas Eregion" for the script of the Noldor of the Second Age.
