Ardamir (Q: "Arda-jewel", pron. [ˈardamir], stem Ardamír-) was the second child and first son of Axantur, a nobleman of Númenor. His great-nephew Hallacar would marry Tar-Ancalimë, the first Ruling Queen of Númenor. Though he left descendants, nothing of their lives was recorded.[1]

Etymology

His name means "Jewel of Arda" in Quenya (from -mir = "jewel"); it was the mother-name of Eärendil son of Idril and Tuor.
