Betsy Butterbur is a woman of Bree played by Katie Jackson who works as a barmaid at the Inn of the Prancing Pony around the time of the events in The Hobbit in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. She is the wife of "Butterbur, Sr." and thus the mother of Barliman Butterbur. She waits on both Thorin and Gandalf in the film's prologue.
