I'm trying to put all the family members in one family category, and the categories of these families in the Hobbits category. Hence the ammount of changes I make. Furthermore I would like to put a family genealogy on the "<family name> family" page. --Bokkie 18:02, 6 Sep 2005 (EDT)

Does anyone have any objections to this kind of structure for the categories: Hobbits > Hobbit Families > Baggins Family > Bilbo Baggins?--fleela 13:37, 16 June 2007 (EDT)
Sounds good to me. However Category:Hobbits needs to have more than just Category:Hobbit Families in it so I vote for leaving all the of the Hobbits also listed in that category. This way a visitor can browse all Hobbits alphabetically or they can browse on a per-family name basis. --Hyarion 13:45, 16 June 2007 (EDT)
Oh yes! I'm going to go through all the individuals to make sure they are listed under Hobbits and their family name.--fleela 13:52, 16 June 2007 (EDT)

This leads me to another question- Should the females be listed under both their maiden and married surnames?--fleela 14:06, 16 June 2007 (EDT)

Good question, I don't think it is necessary to have two separate articles, one can just be a redirect. Though I'm not sure which should be the primary article, what do you think? --Hyarion 14:13, 16 June 2007 (EDT)
I think I would list them under the married name since they probably spent more of their lives with that name. Then I would add both the maiden name and married name categories to the article.--fleela 14:23, 16 June 2007 (EDT)
That sounds good to me. --Hyarion 14:25, 16 June 2007 (EDT)

I think most Hobbits are now categorized properly - Hobbits, Family Name, and Maiden/Married Name. Most married females' articles were titled under their maiden names so I added the married name categories to them.--fleela 18:03, 16 June 2007 (EDT)
