Celandine Brandybuck was the third and youngest child of Seredic Brandybuck and Hilda Bracegirdle.

History

Celandine was descended from the line of the Masters of the Hall of Buckland: specifically, from Gorbadoc Brandybuck. Along with her parents and her brothers Doderic and Ilberic, she was present at Bilbo's Farewell Party.

Etymology

Celandine, also known as Swallowwort is a poppy-like plant. The name derives from Greek χελιδώνι Lat. chelidonium "swallow"
