Colossal Adventure is a Text-Adventure, part of The Middle-Earth Trilogy.[2] The game was based on the Colossal Cave Adventure by William Crowther and Don Woods.[3] This game covers the events of The Lord of the Rings. Later, all names from Tolkien's work were changed and it was published (together with Adventure Quest and Dungeon Adventure) as The Jewels of Darkness by Firebird and Rainbird Software.[2][4] The game was written by Pete, Mike and Nick Austin.[2][3][4]
