David Bratman, an independent university library consultant, is a member of the Mythopoeic Society for which he has been editor of the magazine Mythprint, awards administrator, member of the board of directors, and chair of the annual conference. He has also written a large number of books reviews and compiled bibliographies and reader guides to the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and other Inklings. He is furthermore a member of the editorial board of Tolkien Studies.
David Bratman lives in San Jose, Californa, with his wife and two cats.
