Dean O'Gorman (1 December, 1976) is a New Zealand actor. He portrayed Fíli in the The Hobbit (film series),[1] even though he originally auditioned for the role of Bilbo Baggins. O'Gorman joined the cast on 30 April 2011 after Rob Kazinsky, who was originally cast as Fíli, left the production for personal reasons.[1][2]
