The Dome of Stars was the great hall in the King's city of Osgiliath, capital of Gondor, which was built on top of the great bridge across the Anduin, and where the chief palantír, the Osgiliath-stone was housed.[1]
The Tower of the Dome of Osgiliath was destroyed during the civil war of the Kin-strife[2] in T.A. 1437.[3]
