Douglas Clark Kenney (December 10, 1947- August 29, 1980) was the co-author of Bored of the Rings. He was a creative mastermind at, and a co-founder of National Lampoon. He wrote for the magazine, the radio program, the stage productions and the TV special as well as the first film Animal House. He died falling off a cliff in Hawaii at the age of 33.
