Eldalótë was the wife of Angrod. Her son was Orodreth, a lord of Nargothrond.[1] She is not mentioned in any of the tales of Beleriand, but in a note it is said that Finarfin was "the only name of a Ñoldo who did not come into exile to receive a Sindarin form",[2] so as Eldalótë's name was translated into Sindarin in later legend, she most probably joined the Exile of the Noldor.
Etymology
Eldalótë is Quenya for "Elven-flower",from Elda ("Elf") + lótë ("flower"). The Sindarin form of her name was Eðellos (spelled Edhellos).[1]
