Filibert married Poppy Chubb-Baggins. With his wife, he was present at Bilbo's Farewell Party.[1]
Etymology
The name means "Fullbright" from fili and berht.[2]
Portrayal in adaptations
2001-2007: The Lord of the Rings Trading Card Game:
- A Decipher card identifies one of the Hobbits at the Bilbo's Party in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring as Filibert Bolger. However, in the film the same hobbit is seen cheering when Bilbo calls "Grubbs!".
