First Age 52

First Age 52 (abbreviated to F.A. 52) is the 52nd year of the Sun of the First Age of Middle-earth.
Notable events in this year include:
- After talking to Thingol, Finrod departs Doriath seeking the caves under the High Faroth. Galadriel stays in Doriath out of friendship for Melian.[1]
- Finrod finds the caves and founds the kingdom of Nargothrond. He is named Felagund, "Hewer of Caves", by the Dwarves of the Blue Mountains who help him build his realm.[2]
- About this time, the Dwarves create the Nauglamír, the Necklace of the Dwarves, for Finrod Felagund.[1]
