On wikipedia I believe it is possible to lock articles in such a way that they cannot be altered. Is there a way to do that here? It would help a lot with things like the Celebrimbor article. Unsigned comment by Turiannerevarine (talk • contribs).

Yes, admins can do that when necessary, but there are no active admins lately and unless that anonymous user comes back, I don't think it is necessary. --LorenzoCB 08:07, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
I agree with LorenzoCB. It is not necessary to protect articles against edits as long AS there are active users like US that frequently review the recent changes and that correct changes that are incorrect or that lack correct references to works by J.R.R. Tolkien or by Christopher Tolkien. I die Motive the changes to the Celebrimbor article and was happy that you reverted and corrected them. It amazes me that some editors rely in the contents of the notionclubarchives or the silmarillionwritersguild as references and that do not additionally read the works by J.R.R. Tolkien or by Christopher Tolkien or at least quotes from those works at henneth-annun.net before they edit articles. --Akhorahil 11:02, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
