Frodo Gardner was the second child and eldest son of Samwise Gamgee and Rose Cotton.[2]
History
It was always Sam's intention to name one of his children after his best friend, Frodo Baggins. Though his first child was a girl, he named the second one Frodo.[1]
Frodo became the head of Gardner Family and inherited Bag End. His son was Holfast Gardner.[2]
Etymology
In the King's Letter, King Elessar mentions his name in Sindarin as Iorhael.[3]
