Hamson Gamgee was a Hobbit of the Shire.

History

Hamson was the eldest son of Hamfast Gamgee and Bell Goodchild. He moved to Tighfield to work with his uncle Andwise as a roper.[1]

Etymology

The name means "Son of Ham", referring to his father, Hamfast.[2]
