This article is about the Elven port in Lindon. For the port of Minas Tirith, see Harlond (Gondor).

Harlond was a haven of the Elves on the southern shores of the Gulf of Lhûn. It precise positioning is open to debate: in one passage it is seemingly described as the southern part of the Grey Havens,[1] but the map that accompanies The Lord of the Rings shows it as a small inlet about 150 miles west of Mithlond.[2]

Etymology

The Elvish name Harlond likely means "south haven".[source?]
