Harlond (Lindon)

Harlond was a haven of the Elves on the southern shores of the Gulf of Lhûn. It precise positioning is open to debate: in one passage it is seemingly described as the southern part of the Grey Havens, but the map that accompanies The Lord of the Rings shows it as a small inlet about 150 miles west of Mithlond.

Etymology

The Elvish name Harlond likely means "south haven".
