Haudh-en-Elleth

Haudh-en-Elleth ("Mound of the Elf-maid" or "mound (grave) of the Noldorin maid"[1]) was the grave of Finduilas of Nargothrond that stood near the Crossings of Teiglin on the western borders of the Forest of Brethil.[2] Turin would not allow Orcs to draw near to the mound.[3] On one of his forays to battle Orcs near the Crossings, Turin discovered Niënor his sister (whom he did not know) upon the mound, naked and cowering from a storm.[4] Later Turin met Mablung at the mound and learned that Niënor was indeed his sister.[5]
