Hildifons Took (T.A. 2844-?) was one of the many children of Gerontius, the Old Took and Adamanta Chubb, he was also the uncle of Bilbo Baggins. Hildifons was said to have gone off on a journey and never returned.
Etymology
The name contains hild "battle" and fons "ready"[1].
