The Host of the Valar was the mighty army that overthrew Morgoth and his legions at the end of the First Age. It was led by Manwë's herald Eönwë. The army itself was mostly composed of Vanyar from the Undying Lands. These Elves were led by the Elven patriarch Ingwë, and were joined by the remaining Noldor of the Valinor, under Finarfin, son of Finwë. This force was also known as the Host of the West, and met Morgoth's Host of the North in the titanic clash known the War of Wrath. The forces of Valinor were victorious.[1]
