Interviews with J.R.R. Tolkien is a project on Tolkien Gateway which strives to create a chronological list of all known interviews conducted with J.R.R. Tolkien.

- 1966, July 26: Interview by John Ezard, extracts published in "Writers Talking-1: The Hobbit Man" (Oxford Mail, 3 August 1966). Slightly different extracts from the interview were published in Ezard's article "Tolkien's Shire" (Weekend Guardian 28-29 December 1991)[2][3]
- 1966, August 2: Interview by William Cater, published as "Lord of the Hobbits" (Daily Express, 22 November 1966[4]
- 1966, August 9: Interview by Philip Norman published as "The Hobbit Man" (Sunday Times Magazine, 15 January 1967) and as "The Prevalence of Hobbits" in The New York Times Magazine (15 January 1967)[5]. Apparently the articles are "similar but not identical".[6]
