Irina Horea

Irina Horea is a Romanian translator for British and American literature and director of the USR (Romanian Writer's Union). She is known for the high quality of her work ever since her first translation appeared, in 1977, a poetry volume by Diane Wakosky and Karl Shapiro. From there on she translated over 35 books, among them works by acclaimed authors as Paul Bailey, William Golding, John Irving and Ian McEwan. She is also a correspondent for the Romanian edition of Lettre Internationale.
