Kôr (song)

Kôr is a song by the Tolkien metal band Summoning. It is the fifth track of their third studio album, Dol Guldur, released in 1996. The Lyrics are a converted form of of J.R.R. Tolkien's poem, Kortirion among the Trees. The name of the song, Kôr is a rejected name for Tuna.

O fading town upon an island hill,
Old shadows linger in thine ancient gate,
Thy robe is grey, thine old heart now is still;
Thy towers silent in the mist await their crumbling end
While through the storeyed elms
The gliding black water leaves these inland realms,
