LORD is a text-adventure which covers The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, as well as utilising information from other sources.[3] It has 550 separate locations,[3] and was the first text-adventure based on a book.[2] The game was written and designed by Olli J. Paavola, at the time a student at the Helsinki University of Technology.[2][3]
