On 24 June 1956, J.R.R. Tolkien wrote a letter to Patricia Kirke .
- Publication: A photo of the letter was included in The Superior Galleries May 9th, 1992 Auction of Autographs, Manuscripts & Select Books [1]
- Description: Tolkien writes to Patricia Kirke on a Merton College Christmas card that work and correspondence prevented him from writing any Christmas cards or letters until the previous week. He mentions also that his daughter Priscilla is spending a year at the London School of Economics for a diploma.’ [2]
