Lindissë was the first child and only daughter of Axantur, a nobleman of Númenor. Her great-nephew Hallacar would marry Tar-Ancalimë, the first Ruling Queen of Númenor. Almost nothing is known about her life.[1]
Etymology
Lindissë means "She of the Song" in Quenya (from lind- "a musical sound, song" and -issë = feminine ending). A better translation might be the female name "Melody".
