Mário Augusto de Almeida Braga (known as Mário Braga) ([14 July]], 1921 - 1 October, 2016) was a Portuguese author, journalist, professor and translator.

Mário Braga became the first Portuguese translator of J.R.R. Tolkien's works, when he contributed for the first Portuguese-language edition of The Hobbit (O Gnomo), together with his wife Maria Isabel Braga.
