Madril was Faramir's second in command in The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy. He is played by John Bach.

History

He is killed by Gothmog in the retreat of Osgiliath.

Etymology

Madril is obviously an anagram of the canonical name Mardil Voronwë (the same way the character Irolas is derived from Iorlas) however there is no actual background or etymology behind it.

Games Workshop released a metal miniature version of Madril for the Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game.
