Youngest child of Hamfast Gamgee and Bell Goodchild; a sister of Samwise Gamgee of the Company of the Ring. She married Tolman Cotton.

Inspiration

Tolkien picked the name since it contains 'gold' and referring to a golden flower, suggesting the Fallohide strain in Sam's family—which, increased by the favor of Galadriel, became notable in his children.
