Meleth was the nurse of Eärendel, son of Idril and Tuor, during the first years of his life in Gondolin. She told Eärendel tales about Melko, which make him cry when the lights of the enemy appeared in his chamber during the Fall of Gondolin.[1] It is unknown if she could survive with the exiles.

Etymology

meleth is Gnomish for "love".[2]
