History

Náin ruled for only one year, attempting to hold out against the Balrog but shortly thereafter he also found his death by in 1981, being the last true King of Khazad-dûm until Durin VII and Last in the Fourth Age.
Under his son Thráin's direction, Durin's folk fled their ancestral home for safety in Lonely Mountain and the Grey Mountains.[1]
