Nerdanel was the daughter of the Ñoldorin smith Mahtan and the wife of Fëanor.
She bore Fëanor seven sons: Maedhros, Maglor, Celegorm, Caranthir, Curufin, Amrod and Amras (see Sons of Fëanor).
