Ñoldo (later pronounced Noldo) is a word that refers to "One of the Noldor", the second tribe of the Great March.
It is also the name of the 19th letter of the Tengwar. It's used always in the initial ñ sound occuring in some Quenya words.
It's possible that in Sindarin this letter was used for the ng sound.
In Westron modes it was called Nyé and used for the ny sound.
