"Of the Valar" is section in the beginning of The Silmarillion, in the Valaquenta. It is here that the Valar are described in great detail. From this section much of the information about the physical characteristics and personalities of the Valar are learned.
The Valar are as follows: Manwë, Varda, Aulë, Yavanna, Tulkas, Nessa, Oromë, Vána, Ulmo, Mandos, Vairë, Nienna, Irmo, Este, Melkor
