Peony Baggins was the youngest of three children, Peony was the daughter of Posco Baggins and Gilly Brownlock. She married Milo Burrows (a descendant of Master Gorbadoc of Buckland) and they had four children of their own: Mosco, Moro, Myrtle and Minto. Peony was related to both Bilbo and Frodo Baggins, but only distantly: the closest relation all three had in common was Peony's great-great-grandfather Balbo Baggins, who had been born some two hundred years before her time.
Etymology
Peony is a genus of the buttercup family of perennial plants with flowers. The name derives from Latin/Greek paeonia/παιωνία, referring to the god of healing Παιών, "Paean".
