Featured Quotation

"The problems that confront one given responsibility for the writings of a dead author are hard to resolve. Some persons in this position may elect to make no material whatsoever available for publication, save perhaps for work that was in a virtually finished state at the time of the author's death."
Christopher Tolkien, "Unfinished Tales"

Featured Author

Douglas A. Anderson - He is most well known for the ground-breaking analysis of The Hobbit in The Annotated Hobbit (1988). Anderson keeps himself busy as the co-editor of Tolkien Studies, an annual scholarly publication. Anderson's next publication to hit the shelves will be On Tolkien: Interviews, Reminiscences, and Other Essays which will shed light on the numerous interviews of J.R.R. Tolkien as well as first-hand accounts from those who knew Tolkien. The two volume box-set is now available on Amazon.
