The History of The Hobbit - After what seems like an eternity since beginning this project, John D. Rateliff finally completed the monumental undertaking of analyzing The Hobbit and how the text transformed into its final form.

Douglas A. Anderson - He is most well known for the ground-breaking analysis of The Hobbit in The Annotated Hobbit (1988). Anderson keeps himself busy as the co-editor of Tolkien Studies, an annual scholarly publication. Anderson's next publication to hit the shelves will be On Tolkien: Interviews, Reminiscences, and Other Essays which will shed light on the numerous interviews of J.R.R. Tolkien as well as first-hand accounts from those who knew Tolkien. The two volume box-set is now available on Amazon.
