Rachel Tolkien (born 1971) is the daughter of Baillie Tolkien and Christopher Tolkien, sibling to Adam Tolkien. This makes J.R.R. Tolkien her grandfather.
Rachel Tolkien attended the world premiere of The Lord of the Rings Musical in Toronto in 2006. She said that the "set is incredible, the costumes are beautiful," and that "[e]verything to me that is the most important, and the most moving in the book, they've gotten on the stage".[1]
