Rick Porras (born May 7th 1969) is an American producer who co-produced Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings. He grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and attended Stanford University, graduating in 1988 with a degree in History. He was Gollum's stand-in in The Fellowship of the Ring and portrayed Eldacar in The Return of the King. Porras was also an uncredited second-unit director in The Fellowship of the Ring.
