Roger Lancelyn Green (2 November 1918 – 8 October 1987) was a fellow Inkling with J.R.R. Tolkien. He was also successfull as a biographer, producing work on C.S. Lewis (his teacher at the University of Oxford), Lewis Carroll and Hans Christian Andersen. He also wrote various children's stories himself; these were mainly retellings of Norse, Greek and Egyptian myths, and the Arthur and Robin Hood epics.
He was also an actor, founder of the Lewis Carroll Society, and Deputy Librarian at Oxford.
