Rudigar Bolger was a member of the Bolger Family, who married Belba Baggins. Belba was the younger sister of Bilbo Baggins' father Bungo, and so through his wedding, Rudigar became one of the Bilbo's uncles. In The Lord of the Rings, there is no hint of Rudigar's relations to the other Bolgers, but genealogies within The History of Middle-earth suggest that he was the great-grandfather of Fredegar ('Fatty') Bolger.
