Second Age 40

Second Age 40 (abbreviated to S.A. 40) is the 40th year of the Sun of the Second Age of Middle-earth.
Notable events in this year include:
- About this time, many Dwarves (presumably Firebeards and Broadbeams)[1] leave their old cities in the Blue Mountains to go to Khazad-dûm, swelling its numbers.[2]
