Description | An awakening of living things from the Sleep placed on them by Yavanna |
The Second Spring of Arda was a period that followed the Sleep of Yavanna after the destruction of the Two Trees of Valinor and the Darkening of Valinor.[1][2]
Τhe Valar sent out two great vessels carry the Moon and Sun into the sky and bring light to all of Arda[3]. With the first coming of sunlight to Middle-earth, the Sleep of Yavanna ended, and the sleeping things across the world came to life once more and began to grow. Thus, this reawakening of life at the first rising of the Sun is the time known as the Second Spring of Arda.[4].
