WP Ker lecture

Originally, this was the only entry:

* ? - J.R.R. Tolkien gives the W.P. Ker lecture at Glasgow University.

However, the University of Glasgow says they didn't start until 1938. Is there a source for this? I only found it in a lot of "Tolkien timelines" online. -- Ederchil 12:28, 4 February 2008 (EST)

It looks like it came from The Tolkien Relation by William Bernard Ready, at least that is where this timeline cites. I don't have the book on me but it looks like some sites also list the lecture at 1953. We should probably wait until we can find a credible source and can cite them. --Hyarion 12:51, 4 February 2008 (EST)
Took up the Letters. The lecture was April 15, 1953. Page 443, note 2 to letter 135. -- Ederchil 13:16, 4 February 2008 (EST)
