Name?[edit source]

- That's what it's always been referred to by the filmmakers. Frankly, if the Battle of the Second Hall is considered a battle, I don't know why this couldn't be as well. I wasn't sure what attachments to add at the bottom since it's the only non-canon conflict of which I'm aware. --BalrogTrainer 14:06, 14 May 2017 (UTC)

- It doesn't seem to be genuinely elaborated on at length anywhere outside of the DOS Appendices (though its name is retained for many online videos showcasing the scene). Considering this is the only non-canon battle of which I'm aware, I'm not sure how to categorize it unless one makes a new category -- which might be pointless considering it would be the only entry. Does everything on this site *absolutely* need to be categorized in some way? I personally still think it's noteworthy of inclusion if we want to include absolutely everything Tolkien-related on this site. --BalrogTrainer 14:48, 18 June 2017 (UTC)
- This article contains useful information about this sequence in the Jackson film and contrasts it with the book. I see the value this information adds to the encyclopedia, and I see little benefit in deleting it. Protospace 02:09, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
